Pulmonary function

Disorders of the lungs and bronchial tubes often lead to an increased shortness of breath. By measuring the lung volumes and the flow conditions in the bronchial tubes with special pulmonary function apparatus, findings regarding the type of pulmonary disorder can be obtained. Checking the pulmonary function is also important for reviewing special asthma therapies and for the evaluation of adverse reactions of medication (e.g. beta-blockers).
